Fall Flowers

 My favorite guy came back from a weekend trip to the city with these gorgeous fall flowers!

I sent him a text later that day to say thanks and his response was just as amazing as the flowers: "They were so beautiful and so are you so I figured you would be perfect together." 

Uintah Canyon - The Sink

Considering we had Monday off, for the Utah holiday, it was still a long work week. By Thursday, I had had enough of my office and I decided to leave a few hours early and make a quick trip up to the mountain. I had thought about going up Rock Creek, but decided to go up Uintah Canyon, since it was closer, and see if I could get to The Sink. The road was pretty rough, but we made it. 

There was a few guys up there fishing. We talked to them and they said they had caught a few small brook trout. 

We didn't have a flashlight, so all we did was go through the small cave.

(He had to do this twice because the first time I was laughing so hard, I snorted.) 

One of the fishermen offered to take our picture for us. 

Upper Stillwater Dam

Earlier this week, the Upper Stillwater Dam started to spill over. I haven't been up for several years to see it, so I was determined to go this year. 

Between the wind and Vince being a goof, it was hard to get a good picture. 

Seriously, the wind was horrid!

While we were up there, we decided to hike a trail. It was actually the same one I got lost on last fall, but we started at the other end. 

I loved all the wild flowers that were starting to bloom. They were everywhere. 

We also saw a few moths and butterflies. Vince was able to catch one for a picture. 

They are hard to see, but in the next two pictures, there are two butterflies. I kept hoping they would land for a close up picture, but they never did. 

After our hike, we drove to the top of the dam. I can't believe how full it was compared to a few weeks ago.
