Lagoon

On Saturday, my mom had gotten all of us tickets to Lagoon. I hadn't been in years, so I was pretty excited. I spent the day floating between doing stuff with the nephews, but also riding the big rides. They had a few rides shut down that day, but I was able to ride my favorite ride, the Wooden Roller Coaster, three times.

Daxsen LOVED the little roller coaster we went on. When it was over he kept saying "Again! Again!"

He also talked me into doing the egg drop ride with him. Its like the Rocket, but a smaller version for kids. The Rocket terrifies me, but I thought I could handle the kid version. Nope, we got to the top and I was scared. But I kept on a brave face for him.

Riding the Tilt a Whirl with my mom.

Getting ready to drive the go karts. I didn't come in first, but I was able to pass a few drivers so I didn't come in last.

Riding the Wooden Roller Coaster with my sister.

As we started up, she joked that she was glad the small one didn't stop when Valex was on it. Literally, as she said that, the roller coaster stopped on the way up. But it was only stopped long enough for a quick selfie and then we were on our way again.

I hadn't ridden a ride next to Valex all day, but I was able to talk him into riding the Haunted House ride with me.

It was a weekend full of fun. We finished that night with dinner at Applebee's. Sunday morning, I joined most of my family for a movie and then headed home. I was nervous to be alone all weekend. Its been an adjustment for me to be single. But I was fine and we had so much fun together as a family. It was an awesome Christmas present.

Benihana's

For dinner Friday night, my mom made us a reservation for Benihana's. None of us had been, so we were pretty excited.

Our chef put on quite the show while cooking our dinner.

The food was delicious and the chef was awesome.

I decided to end the night with a soak in the hotel hot tub.

Thanksgiving Point - Tulip Festival

I took over 200 pictures at the Tulip Festival. Somehow, I think I've managed to narrow it down to around 70 for this post. It was gorgeous and I could have spent all day there.

Don't let the blue sky full you, it was pretty chilly that day. I had started the day in a long sleeve shirt, but got hot during the ropes course, so I had changed my shirt before exploring the rest of the museum. But when we got outside, I wished I had kept the long sleeve shirt on.

The tunnel you take into the secret garden.

This fountain was so amazing. I wanted to just sit there and relax in it.

The waterfall area was my other favorite area.

I loved the Tulip Festival. So many beautiful flowers. It was the perfect way to kick off spring.
