Planning a wedding in just 2 months, on a budget, wasn't the easiest task. But we decided to keep it small and simple. We explored several different locations to hold the wedding. In the end, we decided to use the conference room in the Best Western Landmark Hotel. They were amazing to work with. They gave our family a special rate. It was only a few minutes from home, but we decided to stay there too.
Originally, we were going to be in a room close to the conference room, but when we went to check in, the suite was available, so they upgraded us to it. The room was huge, had a jetted tub for two, and a walk out balcony. We loved it.
To keep it simple, I decided to do the decorating myself. I found a few cute items on a yard sale group, and then the rest came from Hobby Lobby and Amazon. I loved how it all turned out.
The one thing we did decide to splurge on was a professional photographer. (I apologize now for the picture overload. And yet, this is only about half of them. It was so hard to choose just a few favorites.) We wanted someone who could capture the day for us without us having to stress about getting pictures. We went with Olivia Baker Photography. She was amazing and we are glad we decided to spend the money on a professional photographer. She came that morning and started taking pictures while I was getting ready.

Another thing I decided to splurge on was to hire a friend to do my hair and makeup. My friend Jessyca was kind enough to volunteer her services. She also did eyelash extensions a few days before the wedding.
For my something new, I bought new jewelry, a beautiful pearl necklace and earring set.
And new shoes.
For my something blue, I had the garter that Heather gave me.
I had a hard time figuring out what to use as a something old and a something borrowed. In the end, I asked my grandma Ruth if she had a handkerchief I could use. We decided it could work as both the something old and something borrowed. I decided to wrap it around the base of my bouquet.

We decided to do bride and groom pictures before the wedding. When Olivia saw our suite, she knew that the stairs would be perfect for the first look.
The hotel was gorgeous, so we ended up taking pictures in a few different spots.
Getting married to the man I love was the best part of the day. The other part was having my dad walk me down the aisle. We had talked about running to Vegas and getting eloped, but I wanted to have my dad give me away. I'm so glad we decided to do that because its something I will cherish forever.

After the ceremony, we did family pictures.
We were married by Pastor Luis.
After the ceremony, we had a family luncheon, catered by my uncle and his amazing dutch oven food.
Vince got both of my nephews to sign the book. I was able to get a picture of Daxsen as he signed his name.
After the luncheon, we got the room set up for our open house.
Our first dance was to "In Case You Didn't Know" by Brett Young.
Rather than doing a formal line, we just had music and dancing.
At some point, my feet couldn't take it anymore, and I took my shoes off. Yes, I am that much shorter than him.
I had thought about making my the cake myself, but in the end decided that would be too much stress.
It was the perfect day. I feel so lucky and blessed to have met this amazing man and I'm excited to start a family with him. I'm so grateful that God brought us together.
